The Tear

Drip!
It falls
Hot and hotter
In breathtaking speed.

It carry over,
His patrons of life;
Hunger,
Pain,
And abject Poverty;
His true-hearted accomplices.

Soon,
It tars his gravey face
With twin expressway
That race over the hollow cheeks
And later,
Diverge under the cadeverous chin;
Shrunken by claws of hunger

The twin expressway,
Fade,
Whist the crew
Gain control
of his wreck
And in an awe,
Puff it’s worn-out engine
To final stop.

Soon,
Unannounced,
He grows cold
While helplessly,
They watch,
In disbelief
As he slowly vapours away
And eventually, sink
Into eternal sleep
Never to parade his empty face again
Flooded with painful tears.
